"Vatican rules in favor of child molesting priest in Mexico..."   In 1994 Pope John Paul II called this priest (Marcial Maciel Degollado) "an efficacious guide to youth" this caused 8 people to come forward and say they were abused by this "so called" worthy Mexican priest! Then the Vatican mandated a new law that no charges against child molesting priests can be brought by the "alleged" victim if the "so-called" molestation took place more than 29 years ago. I guess they figure however mentally messed up the incident made the person, the world would do the same to them by about the same age.........

Bravo Marcial - being a Catholic Priest does pay off... (and has its little sexual rewards too!)

Put in a new law.... wait until the statue of limitations runs out, then parden the guilty - I keep forgetting! The Vatican is above the law... they answer to no one but..............

"What is all the bitching about...?"   Mexico today submitted a formal protest to the US for their tougher illegal alien laws. This wall thing is a waste of good money - remember most Mexicans (and other illegal immigrants) tunnel their way into the US. But I do agree that illegals should not be allowed drivers licenses. It is hard enough to get an ID here in Mexico for a LEGAL immigrant like myself - in fact, it is alot of BS and paperwork to be legal in this country. So why should illegals in the US get a free ride?

Sorry Mexico - your ideas (just like the PANistas) is out of touch with the reality of it all.

On a happier note - congrats to LA's new mayor - amazing for the first time in over 130 years Los Angeles has a hispanic mayor - about time, especially since whitey is the minority in LA anyway.

"Cool, the heat is off..."   Mexico is now said to be keeping an eye on it's tiny little Muslim community for the US.  Now the motorbike cop that passes my house a couple times a day should go and find one of them to check up on - except I don't think we have any Muslims here in our chiquito pueblo. Quite a joke really........ our perra hates his motorcycle, but likes the cop. (she likes him so much that she pushed him in the rio a few months back... hurt his arm and his macho pride)

Well, looks like we survived another Friday the 13th...

"Oh no... Dia de la Madre"   Yesterday was officially Mother's Day in México.... but it unofficially continues until Sunday. No school, some businesses are closed... it used to be worse, but now fortunately most stores and banks have decided to remain open. México - the land of the mother, the madre is sacred........ you can say what you want about anybody or anything, but never ever slight a persons mother - you could get in a fight or get killed.

"Feliz Cinco de Mayo..."   One this day (back in 1862) Mexico defeated Napolian's French Army (but whom doesn't defeat the French???) at the Battle of Puebla. Now I know alot of gringo's think this is Mexico's Independence Day and head south of the border to get drunk and party till you puke. Sorry to disappoint........ now we are in the midst of a 4-day weekend down here and Mayo is another big holiday month down here, soooooo this is only the beginning - next up.... "Dia de la Madre".

"Why save the Hubble.....?"   This seems as good a reason as any..... which looks clearer to you? The best earth based telescope or the hubble... Hmmmm - NASA has really turned into a political piece of shit hasn't it? Endangering lives, cutting corners.... ($$$)

Watch out, China and India are gonna kick our ass soon with their friendly talks and trade. China has the space knowledge India needs, while the hindu people have the IT intelligence that the billion+ Chinese people demand.

US Government + NASA = loser... where is the NASA of the 60's that John F. Kennedy proudly pushed? The Bush addenda (like all of his policies) has killed another great piece of America ......as our pride continues to diminish ...as the world continues to laugh.

"Who is more popular..."

The "new" Nazi Pope?   view
...or "El Peje" Sr. Obrador?   view

            Looks like a toss up!

"Mexico wants a latin Pope..." Is there any non-corrupt person in all of Latin America that would possibly make a good Pope? Hmmmmmmmmmm, tough one huh? How about Mexico City's major? He is probably more trustable than any Cardinal in Mexico, maybe all of Latin America.

El Peje por Pope!

Now what is this about slime beetles being named after Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld? ....sounds like the perfect insect for them, except maybe a stink bug would be better for Cheney.

"What happens when people become too popular..." The man who would be.... could be.... probably will be....... Mexico's next (leftist) president. No matter what dirty political tricks the opposition trumps up, this guy has the people behind him - maybe they are easily manipulated, but they are the voters and they will stand behind their candidate even if he gets thrown in jail over a whimpy little law abuse - about as bad as stealing a candy bar from the local mercado.

"Grunge anniversaries..." 11 years ago, Kurt Cobain of Nirvana offed himself with a shotgun blast to the head. Three years ago Layne Staley, from the band Alice In Chains followed him with a heroin overdose. Personally I miss Layne more than I do Kurt... but that really doesn't matter anymore does it?

From the land of 85% Catholic - "always loyal, always faithful, always present ... ", Pope John Paul II used to call us.

"100 days..." Today marks the 100th day remembrance for the Tsunami victims throughout Asia. And the second day that Mexico is without a Pope. Time for the black Pope to arrive...

Please don't let the new Pope be a Mexican! They are as clean as Mexico's culture... (need I say more?) we need to find a true, honest person - like Juan Diego, a simple man with a vision that the Pope made a Saint.
