"The massacre begins..." Canada
says there are more seal pups born this year than the past few seasons, sooooooooooo
this must mean it is okay to club and skin baby seals while they are still alive?
The islands around Quebec have now again become a cruel and bloody frozen
plain of death !!!
Somebody tell me why Canada hasn't come up with a humane way to treat the seal over-population, why has it remained so barbaric all these years?

"Mexico still an impregnable fortress to U.S.
soccer..." Yes, but
do we care? Do we boo Mexico's National Anthem? Do we shout juvenile taunts
like... "Osama, Osama..." .....hey, it was old last year
when Mexican fans chanted that, this year it is just lame - you fans need new
material. But I will give Mexico credit for one thing, they have never let
the US beat them in their own terrority... but we won't talk about Korea 2002.
(oops, too late...) Personally, soccer interests me about as much as a chiva
shearing contest.
The only bad thing about US vs Mexico in soccer is...... well, everything really! If the US wins I get shit from the locals and if the US loses I REALLY GET SHIT from the locals.
Oh, Happy Easter too.... (pegans) the only rabbits here "conejos"... are in the tacos!

"Deep in the Catholic holidays..." Welcome
to Mexico, and welcome to Santa Semana... which doesn't really keep to its
name - it actually lasts 2 weeks (feels longer___) and should be called "Santa
Dos Semanas", but who am I to change the laws. If they can't change the
laws in England to stop some haggard old slut from becoming the new Queen of
England (eventually) then we stand no chance changing laws here in Mexico.
Hopefully you have had a more peaceful start to the Easter holidays, like the people who cogitated to the pyramids in Mexico this past Sunday to celebrate the Spring Equinox. That is a right that even Wal-Mart (WalMex) can't take away from the people of Mexico!
Have a peaceful week and remember... don't carry a cross - it could lead to your own personal crucifixion. (more on that this weekend...)

"Gringo with a problem..." Noooo,
not me_____ the guy in Temecula who loaded his property with blue agaves and
is making his own 100 proof tequila. This is where the guy did not do his homework
very well... you cannot and will not beat the Tequila Regulatory Council here
in Mexico - also what is the idea of the Chinese made red, white and blue bottles?
(patriotic communism?) This is one sick and greedy gringo! Now he is trying
to pass off his Temecula made tequila as Temequila... but fortunately this
is too phonetically similar to the real thing so don't expect it to fly either.
Mexico is already pissed that they had to allow certification of "flavored" tequila
in the US (a total slap in the face to the culture), which should be an embarrassment
to all those trendy people in the US that indulge in flavored alcoholic beverages.
So save everybody some time and money... name it Red, White & Blue juice to go along with your patriotic bottles - but if you don't want the shit kicked outta you, don't ever try to sell it down here in Mexico, first we laugh... then we send you back in one of those stupid bottles you pinche mamoncito. And come on - $58.00 a bottle!!??? You can get some extremely nice "real" Mexican Blue Agave sipping tequila for that amount!

"The atrocities of Wal-Mart finally coming into view..." The
State of Hawaii is finally looking into the desecration of the 50 sets of human
remains. Wal-Mart seems to not have bothered to follow the strict rules for
when unearthing Native Hawaiian remains, in fact they supposedly glued back
together bones that they broke as well as using permanent marker on the bones
to categorize then. All for BIG PROFITS... now hopefully Hawaii will hit those
bastards with major fines and the contractor will be banned from building on
the islands for the next 10 years.
Yes, this really doesn't have much to do with Mexico today. This is a global thing, the Wal-Mart people are destroying ancient historic sites throughout the world - paying off officials to build without regards to local culture and the ancestry around.
So in Hawaii, while Wal-Mart is making profits these past few months with their new store , a trailer sits out back with 50 sets of skeletal remains await reburial - unearthed for Wal-Mart´s greed.

"This is the place..." Yesterday
was a huge manifestation (most manifestations are...) as the followers of Santa
Muerte demonstrated in the zocalo to be recognized as a true body of religion.
Yes, the worshipers of Lady Death want to treated as equal as the Catholic
church and to no longer be considered a cult. Okay____ soooooo, have you heard?!!
We have Nascar in Mexico City this weekend for the first time, as well as the
LPGA (Women's golf) featuring Mexico's own Lorena
Ochoa... and of course manana is Dia
de la Familia - hmmm, maybe the Santa Muerte cult isn't such a bad thing.........?
Hope things are more exciting in your world.

"Dia de la Familia..." Guess
what! We have a new holiday here in Mexico - this Sunday is Day of the Family,
(bringing our grand total to 300 holidays per year) Fox decided he has to do
something to protect his legacy, soooooo since Mexico´s culture is "all
about family" what a perfect way not to get turned down by Congress.....
a "family" day. (personally, every day is family day here...
so what´s the big deal?)
Has anybody heard about those 2 Mexican destroyers that were patrolling off the coast of Asia? My first question... how the hell did they make it over there, if you have seen a Mexican Navy ship you will be wondering the same. (US "surplus" certified rust buckets...)
Wow, March already....................

"Save the Polar Bears..." The
Kyoto Protocol for the curbing and preventing of global warming - which the
US and Bush rejected back in 2001... seems to be having a tough time and eventually
we will all be paying for it. First the glaciers will melt, thus leaving the
polar bears without habitat - Greenpeace .
Then the oceans will rise.... goodbye Los Angeles, most of England and Amsterdam!
Without the cooperation of all countries including the new polluters (India
and China...) future generations will be screwed. While the US Congress worries
about job loss and production, oh yeah.... and Bush is out looking for that "one
good cowboy" - no comment.
Been a sad weekend... first Gidget dies (Sandra Dee), then yesterday Hunter S. Thompson offed himself in his compound in Aspen.
Peace

"US Research ship takes out large chunk of Yucatan reef...!!!" With
the environmental community already protesting the sonar research being done
by Columbia University's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory - sending sonar signals
into the seabed (disorienting marine life) trying to find more info about the
Chicxulub Crater, who's meteor or asteroid supposedly may have wiped out the
dinosaurs 65 million years ago. Well, now it looks like the research vessel
may have wiped out 1,000 years of coral growth (even though they had a clearly
marked map of the reef beds), that plus the marine life that is suffering from
the sonar blasts makes these research idiotas look real intelligent. Mexico´s
Environmental Organization is currently calculating the fines for the damage
to the coral reef - the same group that gave the researchers permits in the
first place! (remember the Solomon Island dolphins...?)
All in the name of science........... $$$
Speaking of science, thank you Samuel W. Alderson... for making the world a more safer place - R.I.P.

"The terrorists within..." Watch
out Hollywood, we have a script for you - forget all of those new movies you
have planned about Iraq - I mean really.... we are tired of Iraq and the mistake
made by the US government, do we really need to get more depressed than we
already are?
Instead try this! ..........narcos driving around in SUV's equipped with surface to air rocket launchers, ready to retaliate for the Mexican government taking over their headquarters - Las Palmas and other maximum security prisons where the cartels controlled the drugs passing through Mexico from South America. Now these rocket launchers may be 20 years old and may have come from a Columbian eBay sale... but this is Mexico!?? (or is it the "new" Columbia...?)
Might be the right time to say adios México and head for Costa Rica______

"Welcome to the Year of the Rooster..." Today
being the celebration of the Chinese New Year - the year of the widow, death,
bad luck..... all traditional Chinese have gone into hiding! If you wanted
to get married or have children you did this before today or now you must wait
until Feb. 9th 2006. (and I thought Mexico had its mythology overblown!) Just
like the PRI and their election schemes that failed this weekend - imagine,
handing out insurance policies for children (from a Dutch insurer) that if
their candidate wins all of these policies will be activated and your child
will be insured against being killed (kidnapped???) on the way to and from
school for about $3,500 US dollars - amazing Mexican political mythology!
Andway, back to the rooster.......... since I am a "gallo del fuego" fire rooster, this is supposed to be a good year for me - we will keep you posted!

"It's Pulque time..." The "Nectar
of the Gods" is in it's prime right now with this chilly time of
year. Yes, it has been all over the news that Pulque Bars are disappearing
in Mexico because beer is more popular and the younger crowd prefer getting
dementia to the think gooey magic liquid from the Maguey (agave) plant that
has been the drink of kings in Aztec times, now it is the drink of the poor,
rancheros and touristas.
I personally like pulque, not straight but flavored ...like with atun (the flower fruit of the cactus), guava, mango, etc. At sunrise in the ranchos this time of year you will see some of the older men stumbling around from sipping the thick juice from the maguey plants before starting their daily chores - keeps you warm and gives you energy to start your work day (so they say....) or just to pass out before noon in the fields while your livestock is out grazing. But guess what.... no hangovers - the nectar of the Gods!

"RIAA goon squad may arrest your dead granny - Beware!" Maybe
a little off topic for Mexico, but maybe not... since Mexico is a world leader
in pirated music. Since we already know they arrest and (try to) prosecute
innocent people for downloading and sharing MP3 files, now it comes out that
they are suing dead people as well. This makes their tactics look even more
laughable than before. RIAA quit wasting court time and our money, you already
have been ripping off the consumer and the artists that write and record the
music since day one - give it up. And please leave the dead out of this, may
they rest in peace...
Idiotas.........
