"Watermelon, lime, coffee, strawberry and orange..." The
Mexican Tequila Regulatory Council has just approved the creation and sales
of flavored tequila to all you little trendies out there! Sales start in
the US next year! Fortunately they are only flavoring the "rot gut" tequilas
not any that contain blue agave.
Personally, I am holding out for bubble gum flavored tequila... ¡Viva Tequila!

"Aliens, Spyplanes... or Terroristas?" Two
little lights rise above the horizon, they stop... then they split apart,
one going east the other west. Three lights begin to flash in the sky, then
start moving in circles, then interacting with each other.... then they are
gone. What are these sightings and how come there are so many? These sky
shows are not seen by just a couple people, but entire towns! Are they US
spy planes? ................ I doubt it, they are most likely UFO's - they
seem to spend alot of time in Mexico. Maybe they are looking for their ancient
Aztec brothers?
Don't write me for further details.............. I haven't seen them yet (I don't get out much....) but alot of amigos have.

"Tramatized by culture..." or
is it just those sour "out of tune" trumpets?!! For the
past couple days we have been awoke by school bands marching the streets
in preparation for "La Revolution" manana! An army of drums and
trumpets! Manana will be fun......... (not)
"Veinte De Noviembre" (November 20th) is the anniversary of the Mexican Revolution. It began after presidential hopeful Francisco Madero lost to Porfirio (pothead) Diaz in the Mexican election in 1910. After winning the election that was widely considered rigged, Diaz then had Madero imprisoned. After posting bail, Madero fled to the United States where he then began planning a general rebellion that legendary Mexican folk heroes like as Pancho Villa and Emiliano Zapata were quick to join up. On November 20, Madero gave the go from San Antonio and the revolution began. In May of 1911, Diaz relinquished power and shortly after, Madero was elected president by popular vote. Although Madero was later assassinated, Mexicans still hold him in high esteem for moving Mexico towards reform.

"Just the usual..." Nothing
too amazing going on down here lately - everybody is still trying to figure
out how to handle the US' Tex-Mex President for another few years.
A young girl was caught trying to sneak across to the US this week with her family... she was sealed up inside a piñata while her mom was in the truck and her brother under the seat.
They now think it will be possible for terrorists to enter the US through Mexico with nuclear weapons - no shit, if thousands of Mexicans can sneak up and back every year, what is going to stop a handfull of terrorists who can pay the coyotes big bucks to smuggle them?

"New money!!!" Mexico
is getting ready to release a thousand
peso note (like a $100 bill except only worth approximately $87 in the
real world). Why are we doing this you ask? Two reasons, first because Mexicans
are spending more these past couple of years buying palm pilots, new cars,
going to Starbuck's, etc. - thanks to the migrant workers who keep on sneaking
up to the US, doing manual labor shit jobs that American's won't touch and
sending all that money back home to Mexico. The second reason... because
Mexico is running out of these little fellows.
All the tequila towns are in dire need of burros to help with the tequila
harvests, so they plan on buying some "Mammoth Jack Donkeys" from
Kentucky - Jalisco will be the first recipient of super burros- Then will
Mexico send back tequila in exchange???
I don't think a blue agave is any match for an aged Kentucky bourbon, but we will see. Full story via PDF here.

"Still in a state of denial..." Didn't
expect to have to continue to live life outside of the US with a target still
on my back. All 7 million of us Americans pay each time Dubya opens his freakin'
mouth or exercises his Presidential powers. I could rant..... but I am tired.
You know what?!! We all lost on November 2nd, all of us except Bush & Cheney... they can't stop laughing at the American people behind those closed White House doors.

"The raping of Michoacan's forests..." The
devastation continues! As I first reported a few month's back in my
blogs Michoacan's forests are being destroyed. Besides upsetting the
eco-balance of the monarch butterflies that migrate and reproduce here, the
illegal foresting is leaving the area a
virtual wasteland!
Local land owners are now asking for help from the government to protect their lands from the illegal loggers that are destroying the area at a frantic rate. Tons of low grade furniture and building supplies are the result of the destruction.
